Living with an eating disorder personally means that every aspect of my life –every moment, every emotion, every experience–is clouded by thoughts of food and body image. Being trapped in my own mind by the overwhelming “eating disorder brain,” I have felt alienated and isolated from the real world around me. However, as I slowly overcame these struggles and move forward with my recovery, I’ve learned to find peace, give myself grace, and slowly transition back to accepting myself as I am, even as someone who needs help.- Suan Jeong
