DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is why we’re a proponent of a SEL curriculum for educators and self acceptance activity ideas students . She has grown to embrace her differences, being born with a genetic condition called ectrodactyly. Assisting others in doing the same is something she has dedicated her life to. She has had a legal career that has spanned decades and has committed herself personally to building empathy and appreciation wherever and whenever possible. These experiences have helped her inspire people to recognize the things that make them unique. Her vision and guidance continue to inspire adults and children alike to embrace their true selves and accept what makes them unique.

Acceptance Activities For Families

An online interactive platform for empathy building activities classroom , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. Through the Project Flaunt Hub, participants are able to share artwork, stories, or photos that reflect their individuality. This platform enables students to flaunt what makes them different, building a space where they’re able to celebrate their individuality and inspire others to follow. Classrooms are able to transform into places where inclusion isn’t just accepted but honored by expressing these stories. Project Flaunt is more than just a creative outlet — it is an opportunity for students to discover about themselves and each other, promoting greater understanding and inclusion.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
