Learn About The Benefits of An Inclusion Program

Fostering acceptance and tolerance with bullying awareness training for organizations is what we’re all about at Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. The vision of DHIFI is a society that doesn’t merely recognize but celebrates each child’s individuality actively. Our mission is to give adolescents and children the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high. Our endeavors are essential in helping young people develop into individuals who are compassionate and confident. We develop initiatives for a variety of institutions, such as schools, centers for higher learning, local businesses and communities.

A Belonging Curriculum

At the core of DHIFI is our commitment to empathy-based curriculum for organizations. This entails instructing those who are younger on goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and making better choices. We amplify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate their individualism, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on expanding SEL’s reach, encouraging students to feel pride when it comes to their uniqueness, supported by initiatives that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating individuals to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly cause bullying.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various characteristics are merits rather than inadequacies.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, promoting regard for diverse backgrounds, and guaranteeing a sense of belonging for everybody, no matter their individuality, are key parts of our vision.

SEL Activities For Middle School

To promote get to know you activities for families , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has additionally created Project Flaunt, an interactive online platform. By promoting self-acceptance, celebrating differences, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we aim to ensure students feel empowered. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the result is increased empathy and confidence among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). Schools can implement these activities to create a supportive and understanding community where every student feels accepted and valued. If you’re interested in self acceptance activities for students and want to learn more, visit Project Flaunt.

Inclusion Programs For Educators

There are many reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for SEL programs for elementary schools. Along with these initiatives, DHIFI is committed to wiping out bullying, with techniques that include:

  • Advocating for kindness: Understanding each other helps make the environment inhospitable for bullying.
  • The promotion of understanding: Helping students take on new viewpoints, which lessens exclusionary conduct.

Disability Awareness Training For Universities

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Tapping into their family’s collective experiences with obvious differences, Meg and her husband-who share an unusual genetic condition-have inspired DHIFI to grow into a community where celebrating differences is completely normal. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a force full of energy, empowering academic facilities, families, and individuals to accept and show off the qualities that make them unique, thereby turning difficulties into opportunities for collective growth and personal empowerment. Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker also offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
