Find Out More About The Benefits of a SEL Program

Fostering tolerance and acceptance with anti-bullying activities for educators is what we’re all about at DHIFI. Each child’s uniqueness is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in wholeheartedly at DHIFI. Giving children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and stand proudly with confidence is our mission at DHIFI. Helping young people develop into confident and compassionate individuals is the focus of the work we do. We develop initiatives for an array of institutions, including schools, higher education centers, local businesses and communities.

SEL Activities

The advancement of inclusivity initiatives for educators lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. This entails giving younger individuals instruction regarding goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and wise decision-making. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of the things that make them unique, sustained by educational offerings that concentrate on broadening the reach of SEL, encouraging students to take pride in their individuality, supported by initiatives that include:

  • Story sharing: By sharing their personal experiences, students achieve confidence and address the barriers that often result in bullying.
  • Highlighting uniqueness: Our teachings confirm that unique characteristics are valuable assets, not shortcomings.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and promote respect for individuals from all walks of life, guaranteeing everybody knows they have a place, no matter their differences.

Icebreaker Activity Ideas For Middle School

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for welcome activities for middle school . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and ensuring school environments are more inclusive. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. With inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL) being strongly emphasized, the various activities and resources offered in this curriculum are designed to be integrated into school curricula. Schools are capable of implementing these activities to create a nurturing and understanding community where every student feels valued and accepted. Bullying Awareness Training For Educators

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Harnessing the collective experiences of their family with obvious differences, Meg and her husband-who share a rare genetic condition-have inspired DHIFI to become a community where sharing differences is completely normal. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a radiant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning perceived obstacles into springboards for growth and empowerment. Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker additionally offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Bullying Prevention School Assemblies

Our school assemblies at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It transform SEL programs into meaningful experiences that build self-reflection, kindness, and awareness of self and others. Regardless of the focus – bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusion – our assemblies support students in seeing themselves and their peers with fresh understanding. By combining personal narrative, participatory dialogue, and reflective exercises, we enable students to embrace their own uniqueness and those of others. They do more than education by empowering real student-led change and fostering sustained belonging in school communities. Looking to introduce this influential program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
