Size Does Not Matter By Charlie Bidwell (Age 9)

My name is Charlie Bidwell. I to Green Acres Elementary. My eyes change colors from blue to green. My favorite color is blue like the sea. My hair is dirty blond. I love to draw and paint. I also love fnaf games. I am smart and confident in all I do. I am also super small. I wanna highlight that I am small because I do not get the respect I deserve. I also don’t like how people treat me like a baby. I am also the second smallest in my class.

How being small affects me because I get bullied. I also don’t get picked for games because I am small. And a lot of people don’t pass to me in basketball and baseball. But I am learning how to deal with it and not cry at school. When I do get picked on at school I don’t really care any more. When I get picked to play games I have fun with it. Even now I don’t know who is doing it. I am still trying to figure out who it is. I play hide and seek and it is helping me know that “great things come in small packages.” I am learning how to flaunt it by having fun and not caring what other people think. I am also trying to not get mad or sad by what others think about me.

I want you to remember and never forget that size does not matter. It’s what’s on the inside.
