Promoting a social emotional learning program for middle schools to encourage acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. Each child’s uniqueness is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in wholeheartedly at DHIFI. Our mission is to give children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high. Helping young people grow into confident and compassionate individuals is the focus of the work we do. We work on developing initiatives for a variety of institutions, including schools, centers for higher education, local businesses and communities.

An Inclusion Program Curriculum

At the core of DHIFI is the dedication we have to empathy-based workshop for high schools. We focus on developing the youth’s capacity for emotional comprehension, establishing positive goals, cultivating empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed choices. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to be proud of the things that make them unique, sustained by educational offerings that emphasize growing the reach of SEL, inspiring students to feel pride when it comes to their uniqueness, which is reinforced by initiatives that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating students to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly cause bullying.
  • Showcasing uniqueness: Our teachings reinforce that distinctive characteristics are valuable resources, not disadvantages.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, fostering respect for various backgrounds, and guaranteeing a sense of belonging for everybody, no matter their individuality, are integral parts of our objective.

Icebreaker Activities For Elementary School

To promote icebreaker activity ideas elementary school , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has also created Project Flaunt, an interactive online platform. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
