Don’t Hide It Flaunt it strives to help people celebrate their individuality by promoting SEL programs for elementary schools. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we believe in the power of accepting uniqueness and building environments where everyone is capable of feeling seen, heard, and valued. Through our wide variety of programs, we work to promote acceptance, empathy, and self-confidence for people from all walks of life.

Belonging Programs

We believe that inclusion workshop for organizations can truly make a difference in the world. At the heart of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. The tools of SEL equip individuals, particularly students, with the skills to understand and manage emotions, develop interpersonal relationships, and make informed decisions. SEL activities are able to enhance awareness of the experiences of others, foster team building and foster enhanced communication. These exercises help participants connect with themselves and others, building the essential social skills necessary for achievement, both personally and academically. A Belonging Curriculum For Military Families

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on a belonging program for students. Fostering spaces where everyone feels a sense of inclusion, no matter their race, gender, abilities, or background is the aim of our Inclusion programs. We go beyond inclusion by promoting true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal access for all. Our programming is designed for schools, corporate settings, and community groups, with interactive formats that tackle a variety of topics.

A Belonging Curriculum

Promoting welcome activity ideas middle school at DHIFI encompasses community, school and corporate. Through motivational talks, our Speaking Engagements work to dispel misconceptions about disabilities and other differences. Participants experience our interactive programs to be highly engaging, fostering self-expression, introspection, and greater empathy and inclusion. Bullying Prevention Programs Anti-Bullying Workshop For Schools

Our focus on bullying awareness activities for students is core to our mission, as bullying frequently stems from a lack of understanding and acceptance of differences. We address the root causes behind bullying and offer students methods to take a stand through interactive activities and open discussions. The importance of empathy, kindness, and respect can’t be overstated. This is why students learn to identify bullying behaviors in their communities and stand against them. These programs do more than just build awareness, they also enable students to transform into advocates for change, helping foster environments that are safer and more supportive for everyone. Get To Know You Activity Ideas For Middle School

Project Flaunt provides first day of school activities that foster a sense of belonging and community. Project Flaunt is a one-of-a-kind initiative that empowers individuals to embrace their differences and share their stories with others. Individuals express something unique about themselves in icebreakers during these activities. Through storytelling, students can explore how their perspectives are shaped by their differences, and individual strengths are often showcased in collaborative work. A deeper appreciation for differences is developed through these activities as students learn more about each other. This can happen in the classroom, at home, or within the larger community.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
