Promoting inclusivity curriculum for educators to encourage tolerance and acceptance is what we’re all about at DHIFI. Each child’s uniqueness is something to be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. Our mission is to give children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and stand proudly with confidence. The work we do helps young people grow into individuals who are confident and compassionate. Our offerings include a inclusion of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings to this end.

Inclusion Activities

Advancing SEL activities for students lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. We focus on developing the youth’s capacity for emotional understanding, establishing positive goals, cultivating empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed choices. At DHIFI, we broaden the scope of SEL by motivating students to take pride in their distinctive characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging students to tell their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that frequently cause bullying.
  • Highlighting uniqueness: Our teachings reinforce that distinctive attributes are beneficial assets, not disadvantages.

As part of our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, nurture respect for people from a variety of backgrounds, and make sure everybody feels they belong, irrespective of their differences.

Social Emotional Activities For The Classroom

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for empathy building activities kids . We believe students can be empowered and learn to accept themselves by fostering more inclusive environments and celebrating the things that make us unique. Building empathy and confidence among peers is the objective of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
