Find Out About The Benefits of Inclusion And Belonging Activities for Schools

Our mission at Don’t Hide It Flaunt It is encouraging acceptance and tolerance through SEL activities for educators. Each child’s individuality is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. Our mission is to give children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and stand proudly with confidence. The work we do helps young people develop into confident and compassionate individuals. Our offerings include a inclusion of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities to this end.

Inclusion Activities

Advancing a SEL program for the workplace is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We concentrate on enhancing the youth’s capacity for emotional comprehension, establishing positive goals, fostering empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed decisions. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate their individualism, supported by educational offerings that emphasize expanding SEL’s reach, encouraging students to take pride in their individuality, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating students to tell their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly cause bullying.
  • Emphasizing individuality: We teach that differences are strengths to be proud of, not deficits.

As part of our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, cultivate respect for people from diverse backgrounds, and ensure everybody feels they belong, no matter their differences.

Acceptance Activity Ideas For Students

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for welcome activity ideas kids . We believe students can be empowered and learn self acceptance by fostering more inclusive environments and celebrating our differences. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. Various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion are provided by this program. Schools are capable of implementing these activities to create a supportive and understanding community where every student feels accepted and valued. Why pick DHIFI for inclusivity program for schools? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from a deeply personal experience and champions self-acceptance. With the personal insight of living with a rare genetic condition impacting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has shaped DHIFI into a platform that celebrates visible differences. DHIFI began as a seed of an idea and in the time that has followed has blossomed into a vibrant community, where educational institutions and families are given the encouragement they need to flaunt their differences, transforming potential barriers into opportunities for empowerment. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
