By promoting anti-bullying workshop for students at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we aim to advance our cause of acceptance and understanding. At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we believe that schools should be places where students not only learn but also feel valued, seen, and acknowledged for who they are. As an organization committed to advancing inclusion, we offer educators practical tools to assist students connecting with one another through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. Activities like these allow students to grow by creating an environment that’s welcoming.

Social Emotional Learning Programs

By offering a SEL curriculum for universities, we’re capable of making a real difference in the lives of students. Students can benefit from our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities in many ways, like managing emotions, developing healthy relationships, and making responsible decisions. A large number of students only get to know each other on a surface level, but going deeper is so much more important. Among the best ways to do that is by giving them the support they need to open up about their personal stories. We emphasize using storytelling as a way for students to bond at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This way they’re able to view the world through someone else’s eyes. This is an example of the real power of inclusion and belonging workshops.

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is why we’re a proponent of belonging initiatives for high schools and social emotional activities for families . When children with special needs are empowered, they feel a sense of belonging, which is essential for their progress and confidence. An online interactive platform for welcome activity ideas students , Project Flaunt is additionally an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. The Project Flaunt Hub offers participants the opportunity to showcase their individuality through stories, photos, or artwork. We foster a safe space for celebrating the things that make them distinct and give them the opportunity to motivate others while they’re at it. We hold the belief that by sharing these stories, classrooms are able to become places where inclusion isn’t just accepted but honored. Students can discover more about themselves and others while promoting greater understanding and inclusion, making Project Flaunt so much more than only a place for creativity.

Anti-Bullying Curriculum

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we are honored to offer schools and educators tools such as acceptance activities for middle school . To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. We’re able to build stronger, more welcoming communities where every student feels confident to flaunt who they are by accepting what makes each of us unique.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
