Social Emotional Learning Activities

Promoting social emotional learning initiatives for organizations is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We strive to teach young minds the ways to process their emotions, come up with positive goals, express empathy, forge meaningful relationships, and make responsible decisions. We magnify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate the things that make them unique, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on increasing SEL’s reach, encouraging students to feel pride when it comes to their individuality, supported by endeavors that include:

  • Exchanging narratives: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social obstacles that commonly cause bullying, by sharing their own life stories.
  • Highlighting uniqueness: Our teachings reinforce that one of a kind characteristics are valuable resources, not shortcomings.

Included in our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, foster respect for people from a variety of backgrounds, and ensure everybody feels they belong, regardless of their differences.

Self Acceptance Activities For Families

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for empathy-based activities middle school . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. Various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL) are offered by this program. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
