Find Out About The Benefits of An Inclusion Program for Students

Promoting inclusion and belonging workshops for educators to foster acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. DHIFI’s vision is a society that doesn’t merely acknowledge but actively celebrates each child’s unique qualities. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. The work we do helps young people grow into individuals who are confident and compassionate. We work on developing initiatives for an array of institutions, such as schools, higher education centers, local businesses and communities.

Belonging Activities

Advancing inclusivity initiatives for organizations lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. This includes instructing those who are younger on goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and prudent decision-making. We magnify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to be proud of their individualism, sustained by educational offerings that concentrate on broadening SEL’s reach, inspiring students to take pride in their individuality, supported by initiatives that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating students to share their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly cause bullying.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We enlighten students that their different characteristics are merits rather than inadequacies.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and foster individual respect from all walks of life, guaranteeing everyone knows they have a place, regardless of their differences.

First Day Of School Activity Ideas

To promote icebreaker activities for middle school , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has additionally created an interactive online platform – Project Flaunt. Our belief is that students can be empowered and learn to accept themselves by fostering more inclusive environments and celebrating the things that make us unique. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the initiative seeks to build confidence and empathy among peers. Emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion, the various resources and activities offered in this curriculum are designed for integration into school curricula. For schools looking to ensure each student feels valued and accepted, a understanding and supportive community can be created by implementing these activities. An Inclusion Program Curriculum For Military Families

There’s a large number of reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for a SEL program for military families. As well as these initiatives, DHIFI is committed to doing away with bullying, with techniques that include:

  • Advocating for benevolence: Mutual comprehension makes the environment inhospitable for bullying.
  • Growing empathy: Guiding students to understand various perspectives decreases the chance of exclusion.

Emotional Support Training For Schools

Why pick DHIFI for empathy-based programs for communities? Launched by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that originated from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions self-acceptance. With the individual insight of living with a rare genetic condition impacting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform that celebrates visible differences. Since its early days, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering academic facilities, families, and individuals to accept and show off their unique qualities, thereby turning obstacles into opportunities for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Empathy School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs come to life through impactful school assemblies that spark understanding, self reflection, and connection. Every assembly, whether rooted in bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusion, inspires students to value both their own worth and the individuality in others. Our approach weaves together powerful real-life stories, hands-on conversations, and meaningful introspection to help students to appreciate their differences and that of their peers. Beyond teaching empathy, these assemblies are meant to spark students to take action and shift school culture for the greater good. Hoping to bring this powerful program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
