At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we further our cause of inclusion and understanding through an inclusion and belonging program for organizations. The belief that schools should be places where students feel appreciated, and acknowledged for who they are while additionally being centers of learning is our strong belief at DHIFI. As an organization dedicated to promoting inclusion, we provide teachers with practical tools to help students connect with one another through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. When it comes to creating welcoming environments where each student are capable of thriving, these activities are essential.

Inclusion And Belonging Activities

By offering inclusion and belonging curriculum for universities, we can make a real difference in the lives of students. Students can benefit from our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities in a variety of ways, such as managing emotions, developing healthy relationships, and making informed decisions. We know how essential it is for students to get to know one another beyond the surface. Encouraging them to open up about personal stories is one of the best ways. Encouraging students to view the world through the eyes of someone else through storytelling to help them bond is something we emphasize at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This is an example of the real power of social emotional learning activities.

An Inclusion Curriculum

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is why we’re a proponent of inclusivity activities for schools and self acceptance activities for families . For young people with disabilities, it’s essential for their development, self-esteem, and sense of belonging to feel empowered. We aim to help these children achieve their full potential by recognizing their individual strengths and offering opportunities to highlight their skills. Supportive environments and inclusive programs foster resilience and self-esteem, allowing children with special needs to flourish both in school and in social settings. When children feel uplifted, everybody benefits, as they can make meaningful contributions to the community as a whole when they overcome challenges and begin standing up for themselves.

At DHIFI, we understand the importance of inclusion workshops for organizations. Adopting Inclusion, and Belonging Inclusion initiatives in organizations can be a key tactical benefit together with being the ethical thing to do. Founder and president of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, Meg Zucker is among inclusion and inclusion’s most dedicated supporters. She has come to celebrate her uniqueness, being born with a genetic condition known as ectrodactyly. Helping others do the same is something she has devoted her life to. She has used her experiences to uplift individuals to celebrate their differences with a legal career spanning decades and a personal devotion to encouraging compassion and acceptance. Inspiring adults and children alike to live authentically and accept what makes them unique is what her leadership and vision is based on.

Acceptance Activities For Elementary School

An online interactive platform for welcome activities for middle school , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. These activities are adaptable for the classroom and are structured and safe. Whether through small group discussions, prompts for creative writing, or art projects, our SEL activities allow students to express their individuality and build connections with their peers. We help foster environments where students can create meaningful relationships built on understanding and empathy by supplying these opportunities.

Bullying Prevention Training For Schools

Helping schools integrate belonging activities for organizations into their core curriculum is something we are passionate about. It’s not enough to teach acceptance in isolated lessons — we believe it must be embedded into the fabric of every classroom. Every student should feel comfortable flaunting what makes them unique. Equipping educators with the resources and guidance to cultivate a culture of belonging that supports this is the goal of our Inclusion programs. By providing educators with the proper guidance and resources that our Inclusion programs provide, we’re able to build a culture of belonging where students can flaunt whatever makes them unique comfortably. We encourage educators to involve students in meaningful discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, allowing them to think on how differences like race, ability, gender, and background influence individual experiences. These conversations are about celebrating differences, not only embracing them. Recognizing that differences are something to be confident of is part of this program. We hold the belief that everybody’s story deserves to be shared.

Get To Know You Activities For Families

Motivating educators and students alike to celebrate the things that make them unique with get to know you activity ideas middle school . Participants are able to submit stories, artwork, or photos that showcase their individuality through the Project Flaunt Hub. We foster a welcoming space for embracing the things that make them distinct and offer them the opportunity to motivate others while they’re at it. By expressing these stories, we can help making classrooms places where inclusion is celebrated, not simply acknowledged. Students can discover more about themselves and others while fostering greater understanding and inclusion, making Project Flaunt so much more than just a creative outlet.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
