An Inclusion Curriculum

Why choose DHIFI for disability education programs for elementary schools? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that originated from a deeply personal experience and champions the acceptance of one’s self. With the personal insight of living with a unique genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform for the celebration of visible differences. DHIFI started as a seed of an idea and has since blossomed into a vibrant community, where families and educational institutions are encouraged to celebrate their differences, transforming potential barriers into empowering opportunities.

Anti-Bullying Program

There’s a large number of reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for a social emotional learning program for students. As well as these efforts, DHIFI is focused on eliminating bullying, with techniques that include:

  • Encouraging a culture of compassion: When understanding and empathy are nurtured, bullying has no home.
  • Growing empathy: Guiding students to understand various perspectives decreases the chance of exclusion.
