Find Out About The Benefits of a Inclusion And Belonging Program

Promoting inclusion programs for students to foster acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. Each child’s individuality is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in wholeheartedly at DHIFI. We are dedicated to empowering kids and teens to celebrate their differences and stand tall. Helping young people develop into individuals who are compassionate and confident is the focus of the work we do. To achieve this goal, our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

Inclusion Programs

Central to DHIFI’s mission is the promotion of inclusivity programs for middle schools. This entails giving younger individuals instruction regarding goal-setting, emotional intelligence, empathy, relationship-building, and wise decision-making. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of their individualism, sustained by offerings for education that emphasize growing SEL’s reach, inspiring students to feel pride when it comes to their uniqueness, which is reinforced by initiatives that include:

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and break down social boundaries that typically cause bullying, by sharing the stories of their own lives.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their different qualities are merits rather than inadequacies.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, fostering regard for various backgrounds, and ensuring a sense of belonging for everybody, no matter their uniqueness, are key parts of our vision.

Disability Awareness Activities For Universities

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a unusual genetic condition affecting their limbs, have three children, with two of them having inherited the condition, creating a family deeply attuned to the importance of accepting visible differences. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a radiant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to openly celebrate their differences, turning things that were perceived as obstacles into springboards for growth and empowerment. DHIFI founder Meg Zucker also offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Inclusion And Belonging Programs School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs take shape through impactful school assemblies that spark empathy, inner awareness, and community. Whether themed around bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusivity, each assembly encourages students to view themselves – and each other – in a different perspective. Our approach blends moving personal experiences, student-led discussions, and guided reflection to help students to value their differences and that of others. Beyond teaching empathy, these assemblies are meant to spark students to get involved and transform their environment for the long term. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
