Our goal at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It is utilizing bullying prevention training for educators to advance tolerance and mutual respect. A Belonging Program

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of our efforts. We’ve developed programs for children and teens to ensure they get the help they require to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and self-confidence. A variety of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and business settings can be found at DHIFI. To promote a culture of empathy and acceptance, students are encouraged to appreciate and understand the qualities that make themselves and others unique with these activities. Acceptance Activities For Students

Belonging Activities For The Workplace

We take inclusion and belonging workshop for students very seriously at DHIFI. Our inclusion programs at DHIFI are crafted to create inclusive spaces where everybody feels valued and respected. We work with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver workshops and presentations that highlight how important inclusion is to society as a whole. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and invisible ones like mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Emotional Support Activities

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to offering anti-bullying programs for summer camps. Bullying continues to be a significant issue in many educational settings. By working to promote empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. Our aim is to foster a safer and more supportive environment by providing tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. When the importance of respecting differences is highlighted, a feeling of responsibility is developed in students that results in them creating a community that’s free of bullies. Bullying Prevention Training

We advance our mission of social emotional learning programs for educators in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are designed to integrate inclusion and SEL education into the curriculum. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies that engage students in substantive discussions regarding acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: We extend our reach beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion presentations and training sessions that help companies create more inclusive workplaces as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the business sector. These programs are tailored to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture of respect and acceptance among employees.

DHIFI strives to provide inspiration for individuals so that they’re not only capable of accepting the things that make them different but work towards creating a culture at large that is more inclusive. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
