Our organization is dedicated to advancing inclusion, providing practical tools to educators to assist students in connecting through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. Our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities are designed to help students manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make thoughtful choices. While many students get to know each other on the surface during school, they may require a little guidance to really connect on a level that’s deeper. One of the best ways to do that is by encouraging them to share their personal stories. Helping students see the world through the eyes of someone else through storytelling to help them bond is something we emphasize at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This is an example of the real power of belonging initiatives.

Social Emotional Learning Activities

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is the reason we advance a social emotional learning program for educators and acceptance activity ideas elementary school . Empowering children with special needs is vital for their growth, confidence, and feeling of inclusion. When children are granted the chance to highlight their distinct abilities and recognized for their individual strengths, they gain this empowerment. Making sure these platforms are created is our mission at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we understand the importance of a SEL curriculum for companies. It isn’t simply the right thing to do to incorporate Inclusion initiatives in organizations. When people from different backgrounds have an input and are engaged in decision-making, it drives innovation and reflects the diverse world we live in. Born with a genetic condition called ectrodactyly, Meg has celebrated her individuality and devoted her life to helping others do the same. She has had a legal career that has covered decades and has devoted herself personally to fostering compassion and acceptance wherever and whenever possible. These experiences have helped her inspire individuals to celebrate the things that make them different. Her aspiration and inspiration always encourage adults and children alike to embrace their true selves and accept what makes them extraordinary.

Welcome Activities For Middle School

Bullying Prevention Initiatives For Universities

Together with SEL, assisting schools in incorporating inclusion and belonging initiatives for schools into their core curriculum is an important part of our mission. It’s not enough to teach acceptance in isolated lessons — we believe it must be embedded into the fabric of every classroom. Every student should feel confident flaunting what makes them unique. Providing educators with the resources and guidance to foster a culture of belonging that supports this is the goal of our Inclusion programs. By equipping educators with the appropriate resources and guidance that our Inclusion programs provide, we’re able to build a culture of belonging where students are capable of flaunting whatever makes them unique with confidence. Our individual experiences are shaped by factors including diversities like ability, race, background, and gender. By promoting discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, students are able to reflect on these factors. Actively honoring differences, not only accepting them, is what these conversations are all about. Our programs help students understand that their differences are something to be proud of and that everybody’s story should be shared and appreciated.

Welcome Activities For The Classroom

To promote get to know you activities for the classroom is Project Flaunt’s goal, one of our signature initiatives. Participants can submit stories, artwork, or photos that reflect their individuality through the Project Flaunt Hub. Students are not only able to express the things that set them apart with our platform, but they can encourage others as well. Classrooms can transform into places where inclusion isn’t just acknowledged but honored by expressing these stories. Students can learn more about themselves and others while promoting greater inclusion and understanding, making Project Flaunt so much more than only a place for creativity.

Inclusion And Belonging Programs For Military Families

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we’re honored to offer educators and schools resources like icebreaker activities for middle school . DHIFI founder Meg Zucker additionally offers speaking engagements to further our mission. We’re able to build stronger, more welcoming communities where each student feels confident to flaunt who they are by embracing what makes each of us unique.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
