At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we further our cause of inclusion and understanding through anti-bullying workshops for educators. At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we strongly believe that schools should be places where students don’t just learn but also feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. Our organization is committed to advancing inclusion, providing practical tools to teachers to assist students in connecting through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. We strive to make a real difference in the lives of students by offering inclusivity activities for educators. Students are able to benefit from our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities in many ways, such as handling emotions, developing healthy relationships, and making informed choices. While a large number of students get to know each other on the surface during school, they may require a little guidance to truly connect on a more meaningful level. One of the best ways to do that is by encouraging them to share their personal stories. We emphasize using storytelling as a way for students to connect at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is the reason we’re a proponent of empathy-based workshop for schools and welcome activity ideas classroom . By promoting discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, students get the opportunity to reflect on these factors. These conversations are about celebrating differences, not just accepting them. This way, students are able to recognize that everyone’s story needs to be shared and valued, and that their differences are something to be proud of with these programs.

Get To Know You Activities For Families

An online interactive platform for social emotional activities for elementary school , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. Through the Project Flaunt Hub, participants are able to share artwork, stories, or photos that reflect their individuality. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
