Our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities are designed to help students handle emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible choices. One of the best ways to do that is by encouraging them to open up about their personal stories. Disability Education Curriculum For Educators

We’re passionate about helping schools integrate inclusivity workshop for elementary schools into their core curriculum. We believe that acceptance needs to be woven into the fabric of all classrooms, not only in isolated lessons. Our Inclusion programs provide educators with the guidance and resources to foster a culture of belonging, where each student feels comfortable flaunting what makes them unique. By equipping educators with the appropriate guidance and resources that our Inclusion programs provide, we’re able to create a culture of belonging where students can flaunt whatever makes them unique with confidence. We encourage educators to involve students in meaningful discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, allowing them to reflect on how differences such as race, ability, gender, and background shape individual experiences. These conversations are about celebrating differences, not just accepting them. Our programs help students understand that their differences are something to be proud of and that everybody’s story deserves to be heard and appreciated.

Participants are able to submit stories, artwork, or photos that showcase their individuality through the Project Flaunt Hub. We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
