At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we further our cause of inclusion and understanding through a SEL program for schools. The belief that schools should be places where students feel appreciated, and celebrated for who they are while also being places of learning is our strong belief at DHIFI. Our organization is committed to promoting inclusion, offering practical tools to teachers to assist students in connecting through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. Activities like these enable students to grow by creating an environment that’s welcoming.

Inclusion And Belonging Curriculum

We strive to make a real difference in the lives of students by providing a social emotional learning program for educators. Students are able to learn to handle emotions, build healthy relationships, and make thoughtful choices with our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. While a large number of students connect with each other on the surface during school, they may require a little encouragement to really connect on a deeper level. Among the best ways to achieve this is by encouraging them to share their personal stories. We focus on using storytelling as a way for students to connect at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This way they can see the world through the eyes of someone else. This is an example of the real power of an inclusion program.

A Belonging Curriculum

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is why we advance inclusivity initiatives for educators and acceptance activities for the classroom . Empowering young people with special needs is essential for their growth, confidence, and feeling of inclusion. When children are offered the chance to show off their unique talents and recognized for their unique abilities, they obtain this empowerment. Making sure these chances are created is our purpose at DHIFI. Supportive settings and inclusive programs foster resilience and self-esteem, allowing children with special needs to thrive both in school and in social settings. When children feel empowered, everyone benefits, as they can offer meaningful contributions to the society as a whole when they overcome challenges and start advocating for themselves.

Social Emotional Learning Program For Companies

At DHIFI, we understand the importance of a social emotional learning curriculum for organizations. It’s not simply the ethical thing to do to incorporate Inclusion initiatives in companies. Companies experience increased team spirit, innovation, and efficiency from their staff when they feel valued and respected, and implementing Inclusion contributes greatly to this. We live in a diverse society, which should be represented by including inputs from varied backgrounds in terms of decision making. This paves the way for innovation. For any organization, both recruiting and maintaining top talent is consistently an critical consideration. This is why making sure all employees have equitable opportunities as a result of Inclusion is so critical.

An Inclusion Program For Students

At DHIFI, we take a SEL program for schools very seriously. Schools should mirror the inclusion of the society we live in. This is why creating an inclusive and equitable educational experience is so important. It’s vital to acknowledge inclusion and promote inclusion and inclusion so schools can fulfill their mission of readying students to thrive in an increasingly complicated and diverse global environment and make positive contributions. A student’s abilities or background should in no way limit their ability to succeed and deny opportunities. This is the mission of Inclusion. When students feel appreciated and acknowledged thanks to the culture that has been fostered, they’re more inclined to have respect and understanding for others with a decrease in prejudices.

Bullying Awareness Program For Students

We believe in the power of SEL and it’s importance in terms of anti-bullying programs for military families. Despite the fact that bullying continues to be a substantial problem faced in schools, it’s capable of making a real difference if you take proactive measures. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) equips students with essential skills including empathy, self-awareness, and conflict resolution. Teaching students to understand and embrace differences fosters an environment of kindness and inclusion, directly minimizing bullying incidents. If schools wish to create a safer and more respectful learning environment, ensuring the situation is addressed actively with SEL programs go a long way by empowering students to give one another support. A large number of people resort to bullying when they’re feeling isolated. When students feel accepted and valued when their differences are celebrated and understood, this can be prevented.

Bullying Prevention Training For Educators

Helping schools integrate a SEL curriculum for educators into their core curriculum is something we are committed about. It’s not enough to teach acceptance in isolated lessons — we believe it needs to be woven into the fabric of every classroom. Our Inclusion programs are focused on helping educators in creating a culture of belonging by equipping them with the required tools and resources. By equipping educators with the appropriate resources and guidance that our Inclusion programs offer, we’re able to create a culture of belonging where students are capable of flaunting whatever makes them unique with confidence. Our individual experiences are shaped by factors including diversities like race, ability, gender, and background. By encouraging discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, students get the opportunity to consider on these factors. These conversations are about honoring differences, not just embracing them. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
