At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we further our cause of inclusion and understanding through disability awareness program for organizations. The belief that schools should be places where students feel appreciated, and celebrated for who they are while also being centers of learning is our firm belief at DHIFI. As an organization committed to promoting inclusion, we offer educators practical tools to help students connect with one another through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. Activities like these allow students to grow by fostering an environment that’s inclusive.

Belonging Programs

By offering a SEL curriculum for students, we’re capable of making a real difference in the lives of students. Students can benefit from our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities in many ways, like handling emotions, developing healthy relationships, and making informed decisions. A large number of students only connect with each other on a surface level, but going deeper is so much more essential. There’s a large number of ways to do this, including discussing personal stories. Encouraging students to see the world through someone else’s eyes through storytelling to enable them to bond is something we highlight at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This is an example of the real power of a inclusion program.

A SEL Curriculum

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is the reason we’re a proponent of inclusion programs for elementary schools and icebreaker activities for elementary school . For children with special requirements, it is essential for their growth, self-esteem, and sense of belonging to feel empowered. By recognizing their distinct talents and offering platforms to showcase their skills, we help these children realize their full capability. Supportive environments and inclusive programs foster resilience and self-respect, allowing young people with disabilities to flourish both academically and in social settings. When young people feel empowered, everyone benefits, as they’re able to make meaningful contributions to the society as a whole when they overcome challenges and begin advocating for themselves.

Inclusion Activities For Companies

At DHIFI, we understand the importance of inclusion programs for organizations. Incorporating Inclusion, and Belonging Inclusion initiatives in businesses can be a key strategic benefit together with being the right thing to do. Team members feel appreciated and respected in companies that adopt Inclusion. This results in higher morale, creativity, and efficiency. We inhabit a varied society, which should be reflected by engaging voices from diverse backgrounds when it comes to decision making. This paves the way for creativity. Inclusion in the workplace additionally provides equitable prospects for all staff, allowing companies to attract and maintain top talent while building a culture of belonging.

Inclusion Activities For Students

At DHIFI, we take inclusion initiatives for universities very seriously. Creating an inclusive and equitable educational experience is essential as schools should represent our society and its inclusion. By acknowledging inclusion and promoting inclusion and inclusion, schools get students ready to navigate and contribute to a diverse global community. Inclusion guarantees that each student, irrespective of their background or abilities, has access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. It also decreases prejudices and establishes a basis for lifelong admiration and empathy for their peers by creating a culture where students feel appreciated and accepted.

Emotional Support Activities For Schools

We believe in the power of SEL and it’s importance in terms of bullying prevention curriculum for schools. Even though bullying continues to be a major issue schools face, it can make a genuine difference when you take proactive measures. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) ensures students are equipped with vital skills including self-awareness, empathy, and conflict resolution. Teaching students to understand and embrace differences fosters an environment of inclusion and kindness, directly reducing bullying incidents. Students are empowered to provide one another with support as a result of the implementation of SEL programs. This makes them a strategy that’s highly effective for schools trying to create an environment for learning that’s more respectful and safe. Understanding and celebrating differences ensures that every student feels valued and accepted, helping to prevent the isolation that leads to bullying in many cases.

Inclusion Curriculum For Communities

DHIFI’s mission of advancing inclusion initiatives for schools begins with Meg Zucker. Meg Zucker, founder and president of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, is a champion of inclusion and inclusion. Born with a genetic condition known as ectrodactyly, Meg has accepted her differences and devoted her life to helping others do the same. With a legal career spanning decades and a personal devotion to fostering compassion and inclusion, she has used her experiences to empower people to recognize their differences. Her vision and inspiration always encourage adults and children alike to be true to themselves and accept what makes them special.

SEL Activities For Middle School

Why does DHIFI stand out when it comes to inclusion and belonging initiatives for organizations and first day of school activities ? At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we take a highly comprehensive view of the celebration of differences, which is one of the reasons we distinguish ourselves. Through innovative initiatives and alliances, our organization empowers people and communities to celebrate unique traits and foster an environment of belonging. When you offer support to our initiatives, you can make a significant contribution to our movement, making sure that educational settings, offices, and society broadly see greater empathy, understanding, and belonging.

Empathy Building Activities For Families

Our programs offer a range of options that encourage dialogue and self-expression for educators trying to find effective empathy-based activities families . Not only are these activities structured and safe, but they can be used in any classroom environment. Whether through small group discussions, prompts for creative writing, or art projects, our SEL activities give students the opportunity to share their individuality and create connections with their peers. By providing these opportunities, we support the creation of environments where students are capable of creating meaningful relationships based on understanding and empathy.

Emotional Support Workshops For Organizations

Assisting schools in incorporating social emotional learning programs for students into their core curriculum is something we’re passionate about. While many schools offer isolated lessons that teach acceptance, we believe it’s important to go further and embed it within the classroom and curriculum as a whole. Each student should feel comfortable flaunting what makes them unique. Equipping educators with the resources and guidance to cultivate a culture of belonging that supports this is the goal of our Inclusion programs. By equipping educators with the proper resources and guidance that our Inclusion programs provide, we’re able to build a culture of belonging where students can flaunt whatever makes them unique with confidence. We encourage educators to engage students in deep discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, allowing them to reflect on how differences like race, ability, gender, and background influence individual experiences. These conversations are about honoring differences, not only embracing them. This way, students are able to understand that everyone’s story deserves to be heard and valued, and that their differences are something to be proud of with these programs.

Get To Know You Activities For Families

Project Flaunt is among our signature initiatives, offering acceptance activities for kids . The Project Flaunt Hub offers participants the chance to showcase their individuality through stories, photos, or artwork. Students can not only flaunt the things that set them apart with our platform, but they’re able to motivate others as well. Classrooms are able to become places where inclusion is not just accepted but celebrated by sharing these stories. Students can discover more about themselves and others while fostering greater inclusion and understanding, making Project Flaunt so much more than merely a place for creativity.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
