At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we believe that schools should be places where students don’t just learn but also feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. As an organization committed to promoting inclusion, we provide educators with practical tools to help students connect with one another through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. These activities are crucial in creating inclusive environments where every student is able to succeed.

Belonging Programs

We strive to make a real difference in the lives of students by offering social emotional learning activities for students. Our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities are created to help students handle emotions, build healthy relationships, and make thoughtful decisions. While many students get to know each other on the surface during school, they might require a little guidance to truly connect on a more meaningful level. There are many ways to do this, such as sharing personal stories. We focus on using storytelling as a way for students to bond at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This way they’re able to see the world through someone else’s eyes. This is an example of the true power of social emotional learning initiatives.

SEL Activities

She has used her insights to uplift individuals to recognize their differences with a legal career stretching over decades and a personal devotion to fostering empathy and acceptance. Inspiring adults and children alike to be true to themselves and celebrate what makes them unique is what her vision and leadership is based on.

Our individual experiences are shaped by factors such as differences including race, ability, gender, and background. By encouraging discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, students are able to consider on these factors. These conversations aren’t only about accepting differences — they’re about celebrating them. Our programs help students understand that their differences are something to be proud of and that everybody’s story should be heard and appreciated.

Social Emotional Activities For The Classroom

To promote welcome activities for students . Participants are able to submit artwork, stories, or photos that reflect their individuality through the Project Flaunt Hub. Students are not only able to express the things that set them apart with our platform, but they’re able to motivate others as well. We believe that by sharing these stories, classrooms can transform into places where inclusion isn’t just accepted but celebrated. While Project Flaunt is a place for creativity, it’s also so much more than that. Students can promote greater inclusion and understanding while learning about themselves and others.

Emotional Support Programs

An online interactive platform for empathy building activities middle school , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. DHIFI founder Meg Zucker additionally offers speaking engagements to further our mission. By embracing what makes each of us unique, we can create stronger, more welcoming communities where each student feels confident to flaunt who they are.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
