A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum

Inclusion Programs For Communities

We take emotional support training for educators very seriously at DHIFI. Everyone deserves to feel respected and valued. Disability Awareness Workshops For Students

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with inclusivity programs for universities in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate inclusion and SEL education into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are simply several of the ways we work to engage students in substantive discussions regarding topics including acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that help companies create workplaces that are more inclusive as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
