We know how essential it is for students to connect with one another beyond the surface. Among the best ways to do that is by encouraging them to open up about their personal stories. We focus on using storytelling as a way for students to bond at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. This way they can see the world through someone else’s eyes. This is an example of the true power of a SEL curriculum.

DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is why we’re a proponent of inclusion and belonging workshop for the workplace and SEL activities for families . Her dream and inspiration always motivate children and adults alike to live authentically and embrace what makes them extraordinary.

To promote welcome activities for students , our programs provide various alternatives that encourage self-expression and dialogue. Social Emotional Activities For The Classroom

To promote SEL activities for middle school is the goal of Project Flaunt, one of our primary initiatives. Through the Project Flaunt Hub, participants can share artwork, stories, or photos that reflect their individuality. We create a welcoming space for embracing the things that make them distinct and give them the chance to motivate others while they’re at it. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
