We believe that SEL programs for students can truly make a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is a core part of DHIFI’s work. The aim of SEL is to assist students in better understanding their emotions, building interpersonal skills, and making responsible choices, with a focus on students. SEL activities have the ability to enhance awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and encourage better communication. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, building the essential social skills required for success, both personally and academically. Social Emotional Learning Programs For Universities

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on inclusion programs for students. Our Inclusion programs are structured to build environments where each person feels they belong, no matter their gender, race, abilities, or background. Bullying Awareness Program Disability Acceptance Workshops For Companies

Key to our mission at DHIFI is our commitment on bullying awareness program for organizations. A lack of understanding and recognition of differences is a common cause of bullying. We address the core issues behind bullying and give students tools to take a stand through interactive activities and open discussions. The importance of empathy, kindness, and respect can’t be overstated. This is the reason students learn to identify bullying behaviors in their communities and stand against them. Ideas For Classroom Activities

Promoting a sense of belonging and community, Project Flaunt features welcome activity ideas elementary school . Encouraging individuals to celebrate their differences and share their stories with others, Project Flaunt is an innovative initiative. School Programs

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
