With our range of programs, we aim to encourage acceptance, empathy, and self esteem for individuals from all walks of life.

An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that belonging initiatives for schools is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the core of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. The tools of SEL equip individuals, particularly students, with the skills to understand and control emotions, build interpersonal relationships, and make responsible choices. SEL activities have the ability to increase awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and foster enhanced communication. Building connections with themselves and others, these activities lay the groundwork the social skills needed for self-growth and scholastic success. Inclusion Programs For Schools

In addition to social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on Inclusion programs for organizations. Our Inclusion programs are structured to build environments where everyone feels they are included, no matter their gender, race, background, or abilities. We don’t settle at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where each person can access the same opportunities. Our programming is ideal for schools, businesses, and community groups, with engaging formats that tackle an array of topics.

Anti-Bullying Activities Anti-Bullying Initiatives For Military Families

Central to our mission at DHIFI is our dedication on disability acceptance initiatives for students. A failure in understanding and acceptance of differences is a common cause of bullying. Through interactive activities and candid discussions, we confront the root causes of bullying and provide students with strategies to speak up against it. Giving students the skills and awareness they need to recognize behaviors of bullying around them and to stand against them, we strongly emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. Our programs are aimed at more than just raising awareness. We want students to become active advocates for meaningful change. Social Emotional Activities For Middle School

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
