Inclusion Programs

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of what we do. We have developed programs for children and teens to make sure they get the help they require to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and a boost to their confidence. A range of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and corporate settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. Social Emotional Learning Programs For Elementary Schools

At DHIFI, we take belonging programs for educators very seriously. DHIFI’s inclusion programs are designed to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and respected. We deliver workshops and presentations that highlight how important inclusion is to society as a whole by working with schools, community organizations, and corporations. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and mental health issues and learning disabilities which often go unseen.

Anti-Bullying Program

We’re dedicated to providing disability acceptance program for educators at DHIFI. Bullying remains a significant problem in educational settings of all kinds. By working to promote empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. Our goal is fostering a safer and more supportive environment by supplying tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. By highlighting the importance of respecting differences, we’re able to assist students in developing a sense of responsibility towards creating a bully-free community. Disability Acceptance Workshop For Students

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of social emotional learning activities for military families in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our programs for schools are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies that engage students in meaningful discussions regarding respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding.
  • Corporate Programs: In the corporate sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive. The specific needs of each organization are taken into consideration with these programs. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is what these programs promote.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
