Helping people celebrate their differences through disability support activities for educators is our mission at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we believe in the power of accepting uniqueness and building environments where all people can feel seen, heard, and valued. Through our variety of programs, we aim to promote tolerance, empathy, and personal growth for individuals of all backgrounds.

Inclusion Programs

We believe that inclusivity activities for educators is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the heart of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. SEL equips individuals – particularly students – with the tools to understand and control their emotions, develop strong interpersonal skills, and improve decision-making skills. SEL activities offer a lot of benefits for individuals and teams alike. A few examples include enhanced communication, increased empathy, and stronger team building. Building connections with themselves and others, these activities help establish the social skills needed for self-growth and academic achievement. An Inclusion Program For Educators

Together with social emotional learning activities, we also focus on a Inclusion curriculum for universities. Fostering spaces where everyone feels a sense of belonging, regardless of their gender, race, abilities, or background is the goal of our Inclusion programs. We don’t just stop at inclusion; we work to foster inclusion and inclusion where everyone has access to the same opportunities. Our programs benefit schools, corporations, and communities with engaging formats that cover a broad scope of topics.

Inclusion Activities

With a wide array of programs geared toward schools, companies, and communities, we advocate for disability awareness curriculum for organizations at DHIFI. Our Speaking Engagements include motivational talks that break down preconceived notions about disabilities and differences. Participants find our interactive programs to be incredibly engaging, encouraging introspection, self-expression, and greater empathy and inclusion. Our student programs start an essential dialogue, centered around celebrating uniqueness and building an atmosphere of respect and kindness among peers. Our mission at DHIFI is to encourage individuals to flaunt the things that make them different through icebreaker activity ideas families , rooted in the idea that differences should be flaunted, not concealed. Disability Support Programs Bullying Awareness Workshop For Schools

Our focus on disability education workshops for educators is core to our mission, as bullying often stems from a lack of understanding and acceptance of differences. We strive to tackle bullying’s root causes and equip students with tools for speaking up against it in their everyday lives. This is achieved through candid discussions and interactive programs. The importance of empathy, kindness, and respect cannot be emphasized enough. This is why students learn to identify bullying behaviors in their communities and stand against them. Our programs are focused on more than just raising awareness. Our goal is for students to become active advocates for meaningful change. Welcome Activities For Kids

Project Flaunt provides SEL activity ideas kids that encourage a sense of connection and inclusion. Encouraging individuals to celebrate their differences and tell their stories to others, Project Flaunt is an innovative initiative. Narrative sharing where students talk about how their differences influence their perspectives, group projects that celebrate individual strengths, and icebreakers where students discuss something unique about themselves are examples of these activities. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
