Don’t Hide It Flaunt it works to help people celebrate their individuality by promoting disability support program for schools. Each individual should be able to feel recognized, valued and heard. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we foster environments where this is capable of happening by embracing differences. With our range of programs, we work to encourage acceptance, empathy, and self esteem for people from all backgrounds.

An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that a social emotional learning curriculum for organizations can truly make a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is central of our work at DHIFI. SEL gives individuals – particularly students – with the resources to understand and control their emotions, develop strong social connections, and make responsible decisions. Increasing awareness of how others experience the world, encouraging the building of strong teams and fostering enhanced communication are simply several benefits of SEL activities. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, building the essential social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. In addition to social emotional learning activities, we also focus on inclusion activities for students. At DHIFI, we work hard to ensure that everyone feels like they belong, no matter their gender, race, background, or abilities. More than just inclusion, we emphasize inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of making certain equal access to the same opportunities. Schools, communities, and businesses are all capable of benefitting from our interactive programs, which cover a broad range of topics.

Disability Support Curriculum Anti-Bullying Workshops For Educators

Critical to our mission at DHIFI is our focus on disability awareness curriculum for students. A gap in understanding and recognition of differences is what often leads to bullying. We confront the core issues behind bullying and equip students methods to oppose it through interactive activities and honest discussions. The importance of empathy, kindness, and respect can’t be overstated. This is why students learn to recognize behaviors of bullying in their communities and oppose them. These programs do more than just build awareness, they also enable students to transform into advocates for change, helping foster safer, more supportive environments for all. Acceptance Activity Ideas For Elementary School

Project Flaunt provides empathy building activities middle school that foster a sense of belonging and community. Project Flaunt is a one-of-a-kind initiative that inspires individuals to embrace their differences and tell their stories to others. Individuals express something distinct about themselves in icebreakers during these activities. Through storytelling, they can discuss how their perspectives are shaped by their differences, and individual strengths are often celebrated in group projects. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
