Our goal is to promote tolerance, self-confidence and empathy for people of diverse backgrounds through a range of programs.

Inclusion And Belonging Activities

We believe that inclusion programs for organizations is truly capable of making a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is central of our work at DHIFI. The aim of SEL is to help individuals more effectively manage their emotions, build interpersonal skills, and make more responsible decisions, with a focus on students. SEL activities are able to increase awareness of how others experience the world, encourage team building and foster enhanced communication. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills required for achievement, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Program Curriculum For Organizations

In addition to social emotional learning activities, we also focus on inclusion activities for universities. Our Inclusion programs are designed to build environments where each person can feel they are included, regardless of their gender, race, background, or abilities. We take it a step further than inclusion by promoting true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal opportunities for all. Our programs target schools, businesses, and communities with engaging formats that address a wide range of topics.

Challenging preconceived notions about differences and disabilities through empowering talks is the focus of our Speaking Engagements. By encouraging self-expression through art, together with encouraging inclusion and empathy, participants engage in meaningful activities in our interactive programs. The crucial dialogue started by our student programs embraces the things that make us unique and, as time goes on, creates an atmosphere of respect and kindness among peers. Founded on the idea that differences should be celebrated, not suppressed, DHIFI’s mission is to encourage individuals to flaunt what makes them unique through empathy-based activities kids. Anti-Bullying Program Disability Awareness Activities For Schools

Central to our mission at DHIFI is our focus on disability awareness workshop for organizations. A lack of understanding and recognition of differences is a common cause of bullying. We aim to address bullying’s root causes and provide students with strategies for speaking up against it in their everyday lives. This is achieved through candid discussions and interactive programs. We highlight the importance of respect, empathy, and kindness, teaching students to identify and oppose bullying behaviors when they’re encountered in their communities. These programs spread awareness as well as create safer, more supportive environments for everyone by equipping students to become advocates for change. Empathy Building Activities For Students

Project Flaunt offers icebreaker activity ideas students that encourage a sense of community and inclusion. We encourage individuals to not only flaunt their differences but to express their stories with others through our unique initiative, Project Flaunt. These activities can include introductory games where individuals talk about something special about themselves, collaborative activities that focus on individual strengths, or storytelling sessions where students discuss how their differences influence their perspectives. Students not only discover more about one another but also develop a deeper appreciation for differences within their classroom, at home, and in the broader community through these activities.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
