A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum For Military Families

We also focus on an inclusion curriculum for students in addition to social emotional learning activities. At DHIFI, we make sure that everybody feels included, no matter their race, gender, abilities, or background. Anti-Bullying Programs Disability Support Initiatives For Educators

Key to our mission at DHIFI is our commitment on anti-bullying workshop for educators. A lack of understanding and acceptance of differences is a common cause of bullying. We strive to tackle bullying’s root causes and equip students with strategies to stand up against it in their everyday lives. This is achieved through candid discussions and interactive programs. We emphasize the importance of respect, empathy, and kindness, teaching students to recognize and challenge behaviors of bullying when they’re encountered in their communities. Encouraging a sense of connection and belonging, Project Flaunt offers empathy-based activities middle school . We inspire individuals to not only flaunt their differences but to share their stories with others through our distinct initiative, Project Flaunt. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
