At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we have a strong belief in the power of fostering individuality and building environments where every individual is capable of feeling recognized, valued and heard. An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that a social emotional learning curriculum for universities can truly make a difference in the world. At the core of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. The aim of SEL is to help individuals better understand their emotions, build interpersonal skills, and make more responsible decisions, with a focus on students. SEL activities have the ability to enhance awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and foster better communication. These activities help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. In addition to social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on Inclusion activities for schools. Fostering spaces where each individual feels a sense of inclusion, no matter their race, gender, abilities, or background is the goal of our Inclusion programs. We don’t just stop at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where each person can access the same opportunities. Our programs benefit schools, businesses, and communities with engaging formats that cover a broad scope of topics.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
