At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we believe in the power of fostering individuality and building environments where everyone is capable of feeling recognized, heard, and valued. Through our numerous programs, our goal is to promote tolerance, empathy, and self-confidence for individuals of all backgrounds.

Inclusion Programs

We believe that social emotional learning programs for middle schools is truly capable of making a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is central of our work at DHIFI. SEL equips individuals – students in particular – with the resources to understand and control their emotions, develop strong interpersonal skills, and make responsible decisions. SEL activities have the ability to increase awareness of the experiences of others, foster team building and foster enhanced communication. These activities help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Program For Organizations

We also focus on a inclusion curriculum for schools together with social emotional learning activities. Creating environments where each individual feels a sense of belonging, no matter their gender, race, abilities, or background is the goal of our Inclusion programs. We don’t settle at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where everyone has access to the same opportunities. Schools, communities, and businesses can all benefit from our interactive programs, which touch on a wide array of topics.

SEL Activities

Bullying Prevention Curriculum Disability Awareness Training For Students

Central to our mission at DHIFI is our commitment on bullying awareness activities for high schools. A lack of understanding and acceptance of differences is what often leads to bullying. We target the root causes behind bullying and equip students strategies to take a stand through interactive activities and honest discussions. Giving students the tools and knowledge needed to recognize bullying behaviors in their communities and to stand against them, we emphasize kindness, empathy, and respect strongly. These programs spread awareness as well as create safer, more supportive environments for everyone by empowering students to become advocates for change. Welcome Activities For Middle School

To build an increased sense of inclusion and connection, you will find icebreaker activities for students at Project Flaunt. Empowering individuals to embrace their differences and share their stories with others, Project Flaunt is a one-of-a-kind initiative. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
