We believe that empathy-based programs for students is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the heart of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. The tools of SEL equip individuals, especially students, with the skills to understand and control emotions, develop interpersonal relationships, and make responsible choices. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, developing the foundational social skills necessary for achievement, both personally and academically. A Belonging Program For Companies

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on an inclusion curriculum for middle schools. Our Inclusion programs are structured to create environments where everyone feels they belong, no matter their gender, race, background, or abilities. We go beyond inclusion by promoting true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal access for all. Bullying Prevention Curriculum Bullying Prevention Workshops For Universities

Bullying is often the result by an absence of understanding and appreciation, which is the reason we are so focused to disability acceptance activities for universities. We aim to address bullying’s core issues and ensure students are equipped with strategies to take action against it in their everyday lives. This is done via candid discussions and interactive programs. We highlight the importance of respect, empathy, and kindness, helping students to recognize and challenge behaviors of bullying when they’re encountered in their communities. Acceptance Activities For Middle School

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
