Sel Program For Youth Groups

We take social emotional learning initiatives for universities very seriously at DHIFI. DHIFI’s inclusion programs are crafted to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels respected and valued. We deliver workshops and presentations that highlight the importance of inclusion by working with schools, community organizations, and corporations. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and mental health issues and learning disabilities which often go unseen.

Emotional Support Training

We advance our mission of emotional support training for educators in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are just several of the ways students become engaged in meaningful discussions concerning topics including respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by collaborating with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the business sector. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture among employees that’s built respect and acceptance.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
