Inclusion Programs

At the center of our efforts at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Developing self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills for young people is the objective of our programs. We strive to promote inclusive environments in many places, including schools, communities, and even business settings and offer a variety of SEL activities to this end. To foster a culture of empathy and acceptance, students are encouraged to appreciate and understand the qualities that make themselves and others special with these activities. Social Emotional Learning Curriculum For Corporations

We take a social emotional learning program for educators very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we believe that everybody deserves to feel respected and valued, which is why we strive to create spaces that are more inclusive with the help of our inclusion programs. We work with schools, community organizations, and corporations to deliver presentations and workshops that highlight how important inclusion is to a well functioning society. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both things you can see like physical disabilities and learning disabilities and mental health issues which often go unseen.

Anti-Bullying Program

We’re dedicated to supplying disability awareness workshop for middle schools at DHIFI. A large number of people have unfortunately experienced first-hand the prevalence of bullying in educational settings of all kinds. Our anti-bullying activities strive to fight this problem by promoting understanding and empathy among students. Our objective is to foster an environment that’s safer and more supportive by providing strategies and tools to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. Students are given the help they need to develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a bully-free community by highlighting the importance of respecting differences. Through dynamic school assemblies, Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It showcases social emotional learning programs by igniting emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and meaningful connection. At DHIFI, we advance our mission with bullying awareness program for communities in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are just a few of the ways we work to engage students in substantive discussions regarding topics including acceptance and respect.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
