An Inclusion Program Curriculum

The advancement of inclusion workshops for summer camps lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. We focus on enhancing the youth’s abilities for emotional understanding, establishing beneficial goals, fostering empathic interactions, building relationships, and executing decisions. We amplify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of the things that make them unique, supported by educational offerings that concentrate on expanding SEL’s reach, inspiring students to take pride in their individuality, supported by initiatives that include:

  • Exchanging narratives: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social barriers that commonly produce bullying, by sharing the stories of their own lives.
  • Showcasing uniqueness: Our teachings reinforce that unique attributes are valuable resources, not disadvantages.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, cultivating respect for diverse backgrounds, and ensuring a feeling of belonging for everyone, regardless of their individuality, are key parts of our mission.

An online interactive platform for empathy building activities classroom , Project Flaunt is additionally an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. By promoting self-acceptance, celebrating differences, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we strive to ensure students feel empowered. Anti-Bullying Initiatives For Students

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
