Learn More About The Power of An Inclusion Program for Schools

Promoting a social emotional learning program for schools to encourage acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. Here DHIFI, we envision a world where the individuality of each young person isn’t simply recognized but also celebrated. We are committed to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to celebrate their differences and stand tall. Helping young people grow into confident and compassionate individuals is the focus of the work we do. To achieve this goal, our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities.

Inclusion Activities

At the heart of DHIFI is our dedication to a social emotional learning program for the workplace. This includes instructing younger individuals on goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and prudent decision-making. We amplify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of their individualism, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on expanding SEL’s reach, inspiring students to feel pride when it comes to their uniqueness, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Narrative exchange: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social boundaries that typically bring about bullying, by sharing the stories of their own lives.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We enlighten students that their different characteristics are merits rather than inadequacies.

Included in our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, foster respect for people from diverse backgrounds, and ensure everyone feels they belong, irrespective of their differences.

Self Acceptance Activity Ideas For The Classroom

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for SEL activities for the classroom . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and ensuring school environments are more inclusive. Building confidence and empathy among peers is the goal of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences. The program offers various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). For schools looking to ensure each student feels accepted and valued, a understanding and nurturing community can be created by implementing these activities. Belonging Programs For Youth Groups

There are many reasons when it comes to emotional support training for students, DHIFI stands out. In combination with these initiatives, DHIFI is committed to eradicating bullying, with strategies that include:

  • Encouraging a culture of compassion: When empathy and understanding are nurtured, bullying has no home.
  • Cultivating empathy: Assisting students in seeing the world through others’ perspectives, we lessen the likelihood of behaviors that are exclusionary.

Bullying Prevention Training For Students

Thinking about DHIFI for empathy-based workshops for students? Our organization, established by Meg Zucker, was born from an individual journey and is committed to promoting acceptance of one’s self. With the personal insight of living with a rare genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform that celebrates visible differences. DHIFI began as the seed of an idea and has since blossomed into a thriving community, where families and educational institutions are given the encouragement they need to flaunt their differences, transforming potential barriers into empowering opportunities. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Bullying Prevention School Assemblies

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
