Our mission is promoting acceptance, understanding, tolerance, and mutual respect for apparent and hidden differences through engaging activities and programs.

Inclusion Programs

At the heart of our efforts at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Building self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills for young people is the objective of our programs. We offer an array of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and business settings. These activities motivate students to appreciate and understand their own and others’ one of a kind traits, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance. Acceptance Activities For The Classroom

Inclusion Activities For Youth Groups

We take social emotional learning activities for students very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. Our inclusion programs are crafted to create inclusive spaces to achieve this. We deliver presentations and workshops that highlight how important inclusion is to society as a whole by working with schools, community organizations, and businesses. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both things you can see like physical disabilities and ones you can’t see like mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Bullying Awareness Activities

We’re dedicated to supplying disability awareness training for youth groups at DHIFI. A large number of people have unfortunately experienced the prevalence of bullying in educational settings of all kinds. We aim to promote empathy and understanding among students, believing this problem is capable of being combated. Bullying behavior isn’t just capable of being recognized but also addressed with the strategies and tools we provide. This helps create an environment that is built on safety and support. By highlighting the importance of respecting differences, we help students develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bullying. Disability Awareness Program For Military Families

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with disability awareness activities for schools in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies where students are engaged in meaningful discussions about acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: We aim to extend our reach past school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the corporate sector as well. To this end, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are provided so that more inclusive workspaces are capable of being created by companies. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is something these programs promote which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

Our goal at DHIFI is to inspire individuals to embrace their unique differences and foster a culture of inclusion and empathy. We strive to create environments where everybody feels respected and valued through our social emotional learning activities, empathy building activities kids , inclusion programs, and anti-bullying activities.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
