An Inclusion Program Program

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of our efforts. Building empathy, self-confidence, and healthy relationship skills for young people is what our programs are all about. Inclusion And Belonging Program For Elementary Schools

We take a social emotional learning program for the workplace very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. The inclusion programs we offer are designed to achieve this by creating inclusive spaces. We work with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver presentations and workshops that highlight how important inclusion is to a well functioning society. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and invisible ones such as mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Bullying Prevention Activities

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to offering anti-bullying activities for educators. Many have unfortunately experienced first-hand the prevalence of bullying in educational settings of all kinds. Our anti-bullying activities aim to combat this problem by promoting empathy and understanding among students. Our goal is fostering a safer and more supportive environment by supplying tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. Students are helped to develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a bully-free community by emphasizing the importance of respecting differences. Emotional Support Workshop For Educators

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of a SEL program for educators in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies that engage students in meaningful discussions concerning acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by collaborating with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: In the corporate sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that help companies create workplaces that are more inclusive. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is something these programs promote which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
