Emotional Support Workshop For Students

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of bullying awareness curriculum for students in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our programs for schools are designed to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are just a few of the ways students become engaged in meaningful discussions regarding topics including respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach past the classroom by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that more inclusive workspaces are capable of being created by companies. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

Inspiring individuals to embrace their unique differences and encourage the development of a culture of inclusion and empathy is our goal at DHIFI. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
