Inclusion Activities

Sel Curriculum For Youth Groups

We take inclusivity program for educators very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we believe that everybody deserves to feel valued and respected, which is the reason we strive to create spaces that are more inclusive through our inclusion programs. We deliver presentations and workshops that highlight how important inclusion is to a well functioning society by working with schools, community organizations, and businesses. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and mental health issues and learning disabilities which often go unseen.

Bullying Awareness Activities

We’re dedicated to providing anti-bullying workshops for educators at DHIFI. In many educational settings, bullying remains a significant issue. By promoting empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. We provide tools and strategies to help students recognize and address behavior of bullying, fostering an environment that is safer and more supportive. When the importance of respecting differences is highlighted, a feeling of responsibility is developed in students that results in them creating a community that’s bully-free. Disability Awareness Training For Military Families

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of emotional support training for organizations in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are designed to integrate inclusion and SEL education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions about acceptance and respect through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we collaborate with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim to expand our reach to the business sector as well. To this end, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that more inclusive workspaces are capable of being created by companies. Each organization’s needs are taken into account with these programs. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is promoted by these programs.

Our goal at DHIFI is to inspire individuals to embrace their unique differences and foster an inclusive and empathic culture. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
