Discover The Benefits of Social Emotional Learning Programs for Educators

Encouraging acceptance and tolerance with disability acceptance workshops for organizations is our mission at DHIFI. Here DHIFI, we envision a world where the uniqueness of every child is not simply recognized but something that is celebrated actively. We’re dedicated to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to embrace their differences and stand tall. Our endeavors are crucial in helping young people grow into compassionate and confident individuals. To this end, our offerings include a inclusion of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

An Inclusion Curriculum

Promoting a social emotional learning curriculum for students is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We focus on enhancing the youth’s abilities for emotional understanding, establishing positive goals, cultivating empathic interactions, building relationships, and executing choices. At DHIFI, we broaden the scope of SEL by inspiring students to embrace their unique qualities with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and break down social barriers that typically result in bullying, by recounting the stories of their own lives.
  • Accentuating individuality: We educate students that their diverse attributes are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, fostering regard for various backgrounds, and ensuring a sense of belonging for everybody, no matter their uniqueness, are key parts of our goal.

Self Acceptance Activities For Middle School

To promote social emotional activities for families , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has also created an interactive online platform – Project Flaunt. Project Flaunt aims to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and ensuring school environments are more inclusive. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the initiative seeks to build empathy and confidence among peers. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). To create a understanding and supportive community where each student feels valued and accepted, schools should consider implementing these activities. Sel Program For Summer Camps

There’s a large number of reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for inclusion and belonging initiatives for organizations. Additionally, at the forefront of our efforts at DHIFI are inclusion programs that strengthen educational experiences and build an inclusive atmosphere.:

  • Encouraging a compassionate culture: When understanding and empathy are nurtured, bullying has no home.
  • Cultivating empathy: Assisting students in seeing the world through the perspectives of others, we reduce the likelihood of exclusionary behaviors.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
