Promoting anti-bullying workshops for educators to foster tolerance and acceptance is what we’re all about at DHIFI. Here DHIFI, we envision a world where the individuality of each young person is not just recognized but also celebrated. SEL Activities

At the core of DHIFI is the dedication we have to emotional support training for students. We strive to teach young minds how to process their emotions, come up with positive goals, express empathy, make better decisions and forge meaningful relationships. At DHIFI, we increase the scope of SEL by inspiring students to take pride in their special characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and dismantle social boundaries that typically result in bullying, by recounting the stories of their own lives.
  • Highlighting individuality: Our teachings reinforce that one of a kind characteristics are valuable resources, not shortcomings.

As part of our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, cultivate respect for people from a variety of backgrounds, and make certain everyone feels they belong, despite their differences.

Self Acceptance Activities For Middle School

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for icebreaker activity ideas elementary school . Our belief is that students are capable of being empowered and learn to accept themselves by fostering more inclusive environments and celebrating the things that make us unique. Building empathy and confidence among peers is the goal of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities. With inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL) being strongly emphasized, the various activities and resources provided in this curriculum are designed to be integrated into school curricula. Disability Awareness Program For Companies

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a unique genetic condition affecting their limbs, have three children, two of whom inherited the condition, creating a family deeply aware of the importance of accepting visible differences. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering academic facilities, individuals and families to accept and showcase the qualities that make them unique, thereby turning difficulties into possibilities for collective growth and personal empowerment. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
