Our mission at DHIFI is encouraging tolerance and acceptance through disability acceptance program for educators. The vision of DHIFI is a community that does not merely acknowledge but actively celebrates every child’s individuality. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. Our endeavors are essential in helping young people grow into individuals who are compassionate and confident. To achieve this goal, our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

An Inclusion Program Curriculum

At the heart of DHIFI is our dedication to empathy-based programs for students. We concentrate on enhancing the youth’s abilities for emotional understanding, establishing positive goals, fostering empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed decisions. We magnify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to celebrate their individualism, sustained by educational offerings that emphasize growing SEL’s reach, encouraging students to take pride in their uniqueness, which is reinforced by initiatives that include:

  • Story sharing: By sharing the experiences they’ve had with others, students achieve confidence and tackle the obstacles that many times lead to bullying.
  • Highlighting individuality: Our teachings confirm that one of a kind characteristics are beneficial resources, not faults.

Acceptance Activities For Elementary School

To promote acceptance activities for kids , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has additionally created an interactive online platform – Project Flaunt. Project Flaunt aims to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the initiative seeks to build empathy and confidence among peers. With inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL) being strongly emphasized, the various activities and resources offered in this curriculum are designed for integration into school curricula. Bullying Awareness Workshops For Schools

DHIFI began as an idea’s seed and in the time that has followed has grown into a vibrant community, where families and educational institutions are given the encouragement they need to flaunt their differences, transforming potential barriers into empowering opportunities. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
