Emotional Support Initiatives For Universities

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of a social emotional learning curriculum for educators in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions regarding acceptance and respect through these programs, which include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We aim to extend our reach past school environments by collaborating with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We offer Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating more inclusive workplaces as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture among employees that’s based respect and acceptance.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
