Our goal at DHIFI is to foster tolerance and acceptance through inclusion and belonging programs for students. Each child’s uniqueness is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in wholeheartedly at DHIFI. We’re committed to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to celebrate their differences and feel confident. The work we do helps young people develop into compassionate and confident individuals. We work on developing initiatives for a variety of institutions, including schools, centers for higher learning, local businesses and communities.

An Inclusion Program Program

Core to the mission at DHIFI is the advancement of belonging workshop for organizations. Our aim is to teach young minds how to process their emotions, set constructive goals, express empathy, make better decisions and forge meaningful relationships. We magnify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate their individualism, supported by educational offerings that emphasize expanding the reach of SEL, encouraging students to take pride in their individuality, supported by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating students to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We educate students that their various traits are merits rather than inadequacies.

As part of our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, nurture respect for people from a variety of backgrounds, and make certain everyone feels they belong, no matter their differences.

SEL Activities For Elementary School

An online interactive platform for empathy-based activities kids , Project Flaunt is additionally an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. By celebrating differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we aim to ensure students feel empowered. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the initiative seeks to build confidence and empathy among peers. With inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL) being strongly emphasized, the various activities and resources offered in this curriculum are designed for integration into school curricula. Emotional Support Workshop For Educators

Disability Support School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs take shape through powerful school assemblies that spark understanding, self-awareness, and connection. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
