An Inclusion Program Program

Core to DHIFI’s mission is the advancement of social emotional learning programs for educators. Our aim is to teach young minds how to process their emotions, set constructive goals, demonstrate empathy, cultivate meaningful relationships, and make responsible decisions. At DHIFI, we increase SEL’s scope by motivating students to embrace their unique characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging students to tell their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Emphasizing uniqueness: We teach that differences are assets to be proud of, not deficits.

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for acceptance activities for the classroom . By promoting self-acceptance, celebrating differences, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we strive to ensure students feel empowered. Disability Acceptance Program For Students

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
