Learn More About The Benefits of Inclusion Activities for Companies

Promoting inclusion programs for organizations to foster tolerance and acceptance is what we’re all about at DHIFI. Every child’s individuality is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and stand proudly with confidence is our mission at DHIFI. The work we do helps young people grow into compassionate and confident individuals. We develop initiatives for a variety of institutions, such as schools, higher education centers, local communities and businesses.

SEL Activities

Promoting SEL activities for high schools is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We strive to teach young minds the ways to process their emotions, come up with constructive goals, demonstrate empathy, make responsible choices and forge meaningful relationships. We amplify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of the things that make them unique, supported by offerings for education that emphasize expanding the reach of SEL, encouraging students to take pride in their uniqueness, which is reinforced by initiatives that include:

  • Narrative exchange: Students boost their self-confidence and break down social boundaries that typically result in bullying, by recounting their own life stories.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various attributes are advantages rather than inadequacies.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and promote individual respect from all walks of life, guaranteeing everyone knows they have a place, no matter their differences.

Social Emotional Learning Activity Ideas For Families

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for icebreaker activities for elementary school . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. Building empathy and confidence among peers is the objective of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities. Emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL), the various activities and resources provided in this curriculum are designed for integration into school curricula. To create a nurturing and understanding community where each student feels accepted and valued, schools should consider implementing these activities. Visit Project Flaunt today when you’re interested in self acceptance activities for students and want to learn more.

Belonging Programs For The Workplace

There are many reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for SEL programs for schools. Additionally, at the forefront of our initiatives at DHIFI are inclusion programs that strengthen educational experiences and create an accepting atmosphere.:

  • Encouraging a culture of kindness: By fostering mutual understanding, we create an environment where bullying cannot thrive.
  • Growing empathy: Guiding students to understand various perspectives reduces the incidence of exclusion.

Disability Acceptance Activities For Schools

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s the embodiment of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. With the personal understanding of living with a unique genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has shaped DHIFI into a platform that celebrates visible differences. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a vibrant community, inspiring families, schools, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning things that were perceived as obstacles into springboards for growth and empowerment. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Bullying Prevention School Assemblies

Through engaging school assemblies, Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It brings to life social-emotional learning programs by cultivating empathy, reflection, and shared understanding. No matter the theme – bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusivity – our assemblies help students seeing themselves and their peers with fresh understanding. By blending personal narrative, participatory dialogue, and thought-provoking activities, we empower students to embrace their own identities and those around them. These assemblies aren’t just about understanding – they’re about empowering action and creating enduring transformation within schools. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
