Find Out About The Power of an Inclusion Curriculum for Students

Fostering acceptance and tolerance with SEL activities for educators is what we’re all about at DHIFI. DHIFI’s vision is a society that doesn’t just recognize but actively celebrates each child’s unique qualities. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. Helping young people develop into individuals who are compassionate and confident is the focus of the work we do. To this end, we provide a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

Inclusion Programs

Central to the mission at DHIFI is the advancement of an inclusion curriculum for educators. We focus on developing the youth’s capacity for emotional comprehension, establishing positive goals, fostering empathic interactions, building relationships, and executing decisions. At DHIFI, we broaden the scope of SEL by inspiring students to take pride in their unique characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging students to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We educate students that their different qualities are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Included in our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, cultivate respect for people from various backgrounds, and make sure everyone feels they belong, inspire of their differences.

Disability Acceptance Initiatives For Organizations

Why choose DHIFI for disability awareness workshop for organizations? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that originated from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions self-acceptance. With the personal insight of living with a rare genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform for the celebration of visible differences. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering educational facilities, families, and individuals to accept and show off the qualities that make them unique, thereby turning challenges into prospects for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
